1.04 QUALIFICATIONS
A. The applicator shall have received factory training and be confirmed as competent by the manufacturer of EB II. Applicator shall provide written verification upon submittal of their proposal.
B. Applicator shall have current contractors license and adequate insurance coverage.
1.05 SUBMITTALS
A. The Applicator shall furnish for approval, immediately upon request, material specifications together with catalogues and supporting data for EB II.
B. The Owner Shall respond within 15 days of receipt of aforementioned information.
C. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject the system in whole or in part as it may deem necessary for compliance with information given in the bid documents.
1.05 ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Application of EB II shall meet with all current environmental laws as prescribed by all governing agencies.
B. Disposal of containers and materials and all costs thereof shall be the responsibility of Applicator.
1.06 MOCK-UP
A. Provide mock-up of 10 square feet of coating and 3 lineal feet of base under provisions of Section 01400.
B. Provide analysis of mock-up under provision of Section 01400.
C. When accepted, mock-up will demonstrate minimum standard for the work. Mock-up may not remain as part of the work.
1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING
A. Deliver materials in original packages and containers with seals unbroken and bearing manufacturer’s labels containing brand name and directions for storage and mixing with other components.
B. Store materials to comply with manufacturer’s directions to prevent deterioration from moisture, heat, cold, direct sunlight or other causes.
C. Keep materials from freezing.
1.08 WARRANTY
A. Manufacturer’s Warranty: Five (5) year limited warranty for materials only.
B. Installer’s Warranty: Five (5) year warranty including coverage against coating delamination from substrate, degradation of surface finish and leaking.

2.01 MANUFACTURER

2.02 MATERIALS
A. Acrylic Patching Compound: Use for filling small to medium sized cracks and depressions.
B. Fiberglass Mesh: Use for reinforcing joints and large cracks.
C. Acrylic Caulking Compound: Use to apply fiberglass mesh to joints and large cracks.
D. EB II Primer Coat: First coat rolled, brushed, or sprayed with a hopper gun.
E. EB II Texture Coat: Second coat rolled, troweled, or sprayed with a hopper gun. Method used to apply material can create different effects.
F. Splatter Finish: Optional sprayed acrylic splatter coat applied to finished surface for decorative effect. Applied one color at a time.
G. Confetti Finish: Optional multi-colored chips broadcast into wet second coat for decorative effect.
H. Stencils: Optional plastic, reusable stencils for decorative effects. Stone, brick, tile, paver patterns available.
2.03 COLORS
A. Provide coating in manufacturer’s standard color pallet.

2.04 MIXING
A. Mix coating components in accordance with manufacturer’s printed instructions.
PART 3 – EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION AND PREPARATION
A. Verify that substrates are solid, free of loose particles, cracks, pits, rough projections or foreign matter detrimental to adhesion. That substrate is clean, dry and ready to receive work.
B. Do not begin work until substrate has cured.
C. Do not apply system to damp, frozen, dirty or dusty surfaces.
D. Clean and prepare surfaces as recommended by the Manufacturer in currently published Instructions.
E. Beginning of installation means acceptance of existing substrate.
3.02 APPLICATION
A. Applied work shall be in accordance with the Manufacturers currently published Instructions.
B. First Coat shall consist of EB II Primer applied to the prepared substrate at the rate of approximately 150 square feet per gallon. Brush, roll, or spray material. Allow to dry approximately 1 -2 hours.
C. Second Coat shall consist of EB II Textured Coat applied over dry first coat at the rate of approximately 50 square feet per gallon. Textured coat should be thoroughly dry in 2 – 3 hours.
D. T ouch up any bare spots, or uneven texture.
(E. Optional Splatter Finish applied at the approximate rate of 400 square feet per gallon. If applied in more than 1 color, coverage rate increases proportionately to the number of colors used.)
(F. Optional Confetti Finish is applied at the approximate rate of 400 square feet per 4 pound container.)
3.03 PROTECTION
A. Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of the system and systems process until completed and accepted by the Owner.
B. Protect elements surrounding the work of this Section from damage or disfigurement.
C. Restrict other work on coated area until coating is dry.
