WRP Wood Consolidant is a two-part liquid epoxy system that penetrates deep into soft, rotted, or fungus-damaged wood and cures to restore structural integrity. Unlike surface fillers that sit on top, the consolidant wicks into the wood’s cellular structure through capillary action, hardening compromised fibers from the inside out. Once cured, the consolidated wood can be sanded, shaped, drilled, and coated like sound wood.
How It Works
Mix Part A and Part B in equal proportions. The low-viscosity liquid penetrates deep into damaged wood — often 2-3 inches beyond the visible damage zone. As it cures, it cross-links with remaining wood fibers to create a composite material that is actually stronger than the original wood. This is not a cosmetic fix — it’s a structural restoration.

Application Method

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if wood needs consolidant vs. replacement?
If you can push a screwdriver into the wood more than 1/4 inch, it needs consolidant. If the wood has completely lost its structure (crumbles to dust), replacement may be needed. Consolidant works best on wood that is soft but still has some fiber structure remaining.
Can I use consolidant on wet wood?
