WRP Genics CuB is a concentrated copper-borate preservative paste applied to cut ends, drill holes, notches, and any exposed wood surface where factory pressure treatment has been compromised. When you cut pressure-treated lumber, the interior is unprotected — CuB restores that protection at the most vulnerable points.
Why Cut-End Treatment Matters
Pressure-treated lumber is only treated to a depth of 0.5-1 inch from the surface. Every cut, drill hole, or notch exposes untreated interior wood that is completely vulnerable to rot and insects. CuB provides immediate protection at these critical exposure points.
