Choose Your Coating System

Choose All Deck for waterproofing balconies, pool decks, parking structures, and roof decks over plywood or concrete. Choose Sure-Foot for decorative resurfacing of walkways, patios, stairs, and driveways where waterproofing isn't required. Choose Sports Court Grip for tennis courts, basketball courts, and multi-sport surfaces. Choose Hi-Flex Plus for roof decks and plywood substrates where enhanced crack-bridging and flexibility are needed.

Class A is achieved when the All Deck system is applied over non-combustible substrates (concrete, cement board, gypsum board, magnesite) using 2 oz. Fiberglass Mat with Laminating Resin at 35 sq ft/gal coverage rate. Class B is achieved over combustible substrates (plywood) with Bio-Control Prime & Seal, 2 oz. Fiberglass Mat, and Laminating Resin at 35 sq ft/gal coverage rate. Both are CSFM Listed under #4175-1220:0100.

The All Deck Coating System adheres to: plywood and wood sheeting (3/4" CCX minimum), concrete (new and existing), magnesite and diato, cement board (Dens-Deck, Wonder Board), gypsum board, metal surfaces (with rust-inhibiting primer like Zero-Rust), ceramic and clay tile, asphalt (3-4 month cure required), previously coated surfaces, and epoxy-stone/birdseed surfaces.

Coverage rates vary by product: Laminating Resin covers 40-60 sq ft/gal (35 sq ft/gal for fire-rated applications). Textured Basecoat covers 100 sq ft/kit. Finish Resin covers 125 sq ft/gal. Patching Compound covers 250 sq ft/gal. Fiberglass Mat is 1:1 coverage (50" wide, cut to length) plus 10% waste. Use our Project Calculator for exact quantities.

Do not apply AllDeck materials if the ambient (air and surface) temperatures are below 50°F, or will drop below 50°F while the material is drying. For best results, temperature should be above 55°F. In cold weather, you can tent the work area and use space heaters to maintain temperature. High humidity may slow drying/curing time. Do not apply materials when inclement weather is imminent.

Full curing time is approximately 3 weeks. Weather conditions may prolong the curing process. The coated surface can be walked on as soon as it is dry to the touch, but no heavy objects (lawn furniture, large planters, or cars) should be placed on the surface until the coating is fully cured. Thicker than recommended applications may feel slightly tacky until fully cured.

Yes. The All Deck Coating System can withstand ponding water for up to three weeks. However, it is not designed to be permanently submerged in water. It is important to properly grade all surfaces to achieve maximum drainage and eliminate standing or ponding water. Slope/grade decks at least 1/4" per lineal foot toward drains, scuppers, or the deck's edge.

Clean the surface to remove all mildew, mold, grease, oil, dust, powder, or wax film with AllDeck Deck Cleaner, TSP, or other mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and let dry. Concrete with a hard, slick surface must be etched with a solution of at least one part muriatic acid and three parts water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Use Bio-Control Prime & Seal on hard, slick, porous, or lightweight concrete to promote bonding. New concrete should cure for 30 days before applying the system.

The AllDeck Coating System is CSFM Listed under #4175-1220:0100 — California State Fire Marshal, Category 4175: Roof Covering (Miscellaneous). It is listed as a Class A or Class B roof covering depending on the substrate. Additionally, it holds LADBS Research Report RR 24309 (CSI 07180) from the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.

Yes. AllDeck products meet California's elevated exterior element inspection requirements under SB 326 (condominiums, effective 2025) and SB 721 (apartments, already in effect). The system provides waterproof membrane protection for balconies and elevated walkways that are subject to these inspection mandates. Clean with a stiff bristled pushbroom and AllDeck Deck Cleaner, mild detergent (like Cascade), light abrasive cleaner, diluted bleach, or common household cleaners. Allow cleaning agent to sit on dampened surface for at least 30 minutes before scrubbing. Rinse with ordinary garden hose and low pressure water. Do NOT use mechanical cleaning devices, high pressure water, power blasting, or citrus/solvent based cleaners (409, MEK, acetone, lacquer thinner).

AllDeck offers 26 standard colors plus custom color options. Decorative options include: multi-color treatments, faux finishes, 18 standard stencil patterns (4' x 8' reusable polyethylene), Confetti Finish (broadcast dry particles), and Splatter Finish. Colors can affect surface temperature — dark colors are hotter than light colors, and medium colors show less dirt. Multi-colored surfaces help camouflage dirt and repairs.

All Deck is a full waterproofing system with fiberglass-reinforced membrane — use it when waterproofing is required (above occupied spaces, balconies, roof decks). Sure-Foot is a decorative resurfacing system without waterproofing — use it for on-grade concrete surfaces (walkways, patios, driveways, pool decks) where you want an attractive, slip-resistant finish but don't need waterproofing below.

For small bubbles (no larger than a half dollar): cut out, patch in, and feather out with two thin coats of AllDeck Patching Compound. For larger bubbles: use a hypodermic syringe to inject AllDeck Hypo Mix. Hammer a nail through the coating at an angle on all four sides of the bubble (as breather holes), inject a small amount of adhesive, apply pressure to work it around, then place heavy plastic and a weight until bonded. For large unbonded areas: completely remove and re-fiberglass using the double-cut repair method.

Most AllDeck products have a 5-year shelf life when stored properly. Keep materials from freezing while in containers. Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Always stir/mix contents of containers thoroughly before applying. Check batch numbers on all containers of Finish Resin before using — batch numbers should match to ensure color uniformity.
